About
Laux Audio
I started in audio recording in 1996 as a way to
capture the sounds of the middle school orchestra
classes I was teaching. Once I got involved in the
audio recording process and began to learn about
recording gear, I was hooked. After years of recording
my students as an educator, I wanted to pursue
recording as a side business. Laux Audio was started in
2001 as a way for me to record other people's events. I
wanted to help music directors and students capture
their memories and help them learn from their
performances. My main career is teaching, conducting
and performing with orchestras, however I really enjoy
a break from it all by serving as a recording engineer.
With my education background, I know what music
students and directors are looking for in a quality
recording and I know it has to remain affordable,
especially with recent budget cuts in many performing
arts departments.
Over the years, I have become a better recording
engineer and have been able to use the funds made from
recording concerts to obtain higher quality gear. It is
my goal to provide the highest quality recordings and
keeping fees reasonable.
Please contact me should you have any
questions, or if you would like me to record your
concert or schedule a recording session.
